Alqueria de Rosales Camps are back this summer!

Our centre is located at the Natural Park of Sierra de Segura, at the foot of La Sagra mountain in the north of Granada province in Andalucia.

For many years the Alquería de Rosales Camps were eagerly anticipated by children from Spain and the rest of Europe, the USA and countries in the Middle East. They were a ten-day cultural exchange in which children learned from each other, enriched their minds and enjoyed challenging physical activities.

Ten years have passed since we held our last camp. , and there were the children who lived in their day the once who decided to take it back, organize it and carry it out so that the children of today can live the same experience that marked their childhood and take away Friends, from all over the world, for life. For this reason, they have organized ten days full of activities of all kinds with the aim of connecting children with nature and with themselves. It is also a good excuse to leave your mobile and electronic devices at home and imagine that the technological world does not exist even if only for a few days.

This year’s Alquería de Rosales Camp includes both regular daily activities and special one-off activities.

The mornings will begin with stretching and group exercises on the lawn. After breakfast there will be classes in Arabic, English and Spanish — depending on the choice made by parents — followed by regular daily activities. Lunch is followed by an hour of rest before resuming the day’s schedule.

The regular daily activities include harvesting fruits and vegetables from the farm, feeding the horses and chickens, collecting the eggs, swimming, archery and cooking. Special activities include rock climbing, woodland river excursion, fishing in the picturesque village of Castril, and canoeing.

Every evening after dinner, there will be a film session, night games or a night of stars, which consists of going to the mountains and telling stories under the stars, since Rosales has one of the clearest skies in Europe. Children will be accompanied at all times by four bilingual monitors during the ten days.

It is an opportunity to live an unforgettable, enriching experience at all levels that no one would want to miss.
